Grading Terms & FAQ

Please Note that all pins are handmade and show necessary variance in the distribution of glitter, pearl swirl or pearl distribution, some variance in texture or fill and variations in print.

My grading scale is based on my subjective perception of the variance in the pins as a Whole, compared to one another.

If you are unsatisfied with the quality of the pin, I accept returns and in some cases replacements, if I agree with your assessment that I screwed up the grading.

I'm human and am usually grading at night while my kids are sleeping or while children are screaming so sometimes I miss things! 😅 If you think I missed a flaw that materially changes your enjoyment please contact me by email and I will address your concerns!

✨Nearly Flawless? How can you be Nearly Flawless?

✨Standard = small speck, slight smudge at an angle, very slight misprint, very shallow dip or texture in enamel or plating only seen at angle -

Nothing that stands out on inspection or at reading length and nothing that detracts from enjoyment

✨Minor Flaw = 2 of the following or 1 larger flaw: small speck, slight smudge at an angle, slight misprint, slight dip or texture in enamel or plating only seen at angle

Nothing that stands out on cursory inspection or at arms length and nothing that detracts from enjoyment

✨Slightly Flawed = 2-3 of the, small speck, slight smudge, or a bigger fleck or misprint, dip or texture in enamel or plating

Nothing that detracts from enjoyment

✨Flawed = 3+ of the, larger speck, smudge obvious straight on in normal light, obvious misprint, or a bigger fleck, larger dip or texture in enamel or plating

Nothing that detracts from enjoyment

✨Very Flawed = chipped edge plating or large gradient misprint or smudge

The pin just has a bit more character, s'all, but this is not for a finnicky person

Seconds or B Grade Pins
are not graded according to the above breakdown, and are therefore discounted appropriately. They may have all or none of the flaws detailed above. They are meant to be worn or more actively enjoyed. These are not graded according to any other shops' definition of A, B, or C grades.

How do you ship your pins?

I ship in sturdy bubble mailers or small boxes depending on the type and quantity and size of pin you purchase. I try to protect and wrap pins carefully.

You can choose to save the environment and reduce packaging waste by using the code GREEN at checkout! Save $1 and get reused packaging.

I use our local govemrnment post USPS, which includes free domestic tracking. If you want faster service or insurance, choose my Eyeloops Pinsurance from the "Extras" menu for insurance on purchases. With Pinsurance I will replace or refund your Limited Edition pin purchase if it is lost in the post or damaged on arrival.

______________

Why hasn't my order shipped?

If you order hasn't shipped but you think it should have please contact me. Please note that I do not necessarily ship parts of orders, so if your order includes some outstanding or not yet in hand pins, you may have to wait until all pins in your order are in hand.

______________

Can I combine presale items and in-hand pins in one checkout?

Please don't. It's a real pain for me to keep track of orders with so many different parts.

______________

Do you ship to the UK or EU?

Sure, but pelase note any purchase form my shop may be subject to VAT ro customs collection by your home countries on delivery. If you are concerned about VAT or customs collection, you can use a US address or parcel aggregation service.

______________

Do you trade your pins?

Sure do. If you think you have something I'm looking for I'm probably open to a trade.

______________

My presale pin hasn't been finished and it has been 6 months? Can I get a refund?

Presales are cheaper for a reason - you may have to wait for the pin to be manufactured. Rest assured that while I cannot guarantee how long a pin will take to be made properly, I have fully paid for production either before or immediately after any funds are collected from preorders. I also do my best to keep the public updated with photso and statuses on my Instagram page.

If you have buyer's remorse or need money, it is not appropriate to ask for a refund. However, I am more than happy to renew financial protections through PayPal if you need it. Just message me and let me know your siutation. If it has been more than 6 months and the issue is not renewal of protection, I may also offer either a refund or shop credit for in-hand pins of greater value depending on the situation and your choice.

______________

I have a suggestion for a pin I would like you to make: can I tell you?

Sure! I love thinking about new ideas. But if its an idea you want ownership over maybe best to make it yourself!

______________

Do you have any more of "____ Sold Out Pin"?

Sometimes I have one or two in my collection or for trade, but I will not have extras of older pins for sale. Sometimes I may do a charity auction, but if it says sold out on the webstie or isnt't available on the website I do not have any for sale. Any story I am taged in on Instagram I will repost so if you are In Search Of (ISO) one of my pins tag me and I'll give your search a signal boost to help you find it secondhand

______________

Will you restock "_______ Sold Out Pin?"

Limited Edition pins will not be restocked. Open Edition pins may be restocked but it depends on interest and stock availability.

______________

Can I resell your pins after I have bought them or received them in a trade?

YES! It is yours and what you do with it is your business. If you have one of my pins For Sale (FS) or For Trade (FT) tag me and I will signal boost your sale or trader. As long as you are polite and not scammy I am happy to promote your sale or trade up to once every 2 days.

As a courtesy, I ask that you not resell my in-stock pins for more than your reasonable costs (shipping, taxes, and fees etc, packaging may make it more than retail price - I will not begrudge you that), but I do ask that you not buy to resell on third-party marketplaces like Mercari, eBay, or Depop. For example, selling an in-stock pin on eBay for $100 when it retails for $15.

As far as prices on out-of-stock or sold out items, pricing is at your discretion. Please don't ask me what the market price is for my pins -  I usually don't know. And second-hand pin sales  and values are all about hw much you want the pin, and how much the seller doesn't want it.
